Malta is one of the countries being targeted by criminal gangs who are using cloned debit and credit cards. This theft involving other countries too, has leapt 126 per cent to ?108.8million. Meanwhile, the banks' chip and PIN regime which was designed to cut plastic card fraud has increased by 26 per cent increase rising to ?263.6million.
